Stamps of Indonesia's PELITA

PELITA is Indonesia's per 5 year national development program in the era of President Suharto since 1969. Previously President Soekarno launched national development program called "Pembangunan Nasional Semesta Berencana" in 1961. First PELITA (1969 to 1974) was conducted to fulfill basic people needs and develop infrastructures especially in the agricultural field. Second PELITA was conducted to accelerate the development programs outside Java, Bali, and Madura islands by transmigrating people. Indonesia was able to reach industrial era since 3rd and 4th PELITA, and in the 5th and 6th PELITA some of the Indonesia's people was capable in the telecommunication and information technology and Indonesia succesfully launched its first plane (CN 235 and N 250 Gatotkaca) in the era of President Suharto.
